A Day in Golden Bay

I decided to visit Golden Bay on my final day in the Nelson area. There is a range of mountains separating it from Nelson, and I visited Hawkes Lookout while I crossed the mountains. It has some very interesting rock formations.

The Te Waikoropupu Springs are the largest cold water springs in the world. I was interested in how clear the water was, and how much water was flowing.

I then visited Cape Farewell, the most northerly point of the South Island,

and Wharariki Beach,

before I returned to prepare for a very early morning flight.
