I went to an exhibition about jade, and saw this beautiful headdress with tablet weaving, on a special stone.
At Greymouth, I joined the train, and saw this mural next to the office of the local paper. They had full length windows so you could watch the paper being printed.
At first, we were in West Coast farmland, with braided rivers.
I saw these cattle who looked to me like they were holding a meeting, with a speaker.
Then we reached the alps.
We stopped at Arthur Pass, after going through an eight and a half kilometre tunnel.
As we went towards Christchurch, the mountains became much more eroded.
And the rivers cut deeply into the soil.
I was running out of battery on my phone, so I didn’t take pictures of the Canterbury Plains, which were all green farmland.
