An Evening in Nelson

When we got back to Nelson, the town had an event called The Spectacle. It involved several blocks in the town centre being turned into a running track with numerous people competing, culminating races involving several olympians from all over the world. It was like a horse race commentary with crowds everywhere. Some of the early races involved primary school kids. Then they had a concert with some well known (to New Zealanders) bands. It was bedlam! Not like the sleepy town I started from last week!
