Coastal Vistas

We drove north along the coast today. Firstly to a private reservation called Reserva Ecologica El Puquen. This was beautiful, with nothing that grew very high, and lava flows to the ocean - even a blow hole! The coastline was very rugged.

As we wandered through the undulating landscape, we saw large communities of Chilean plants.

One island had large colonies of sea lions and garnets.

We went even further north, to a development project. I don’t have any photos of the plantings, but they had beautiful rock walls and boardwalks along the shore. There was a beach, although most of the coast was still lava.

There were some very big cactus here.

The wifi at the hotel was difficult to use, going up and down constantly, and having too few connections.
