Beluga Whales

We reached Churchill after midnight, after having our flight delayed by six hours. So we had a somewhat laxidasical day. However, this afternoon we were kayaking with beluga whales. About 35 people were on the tour. We all donned life jackets and kayaks, and paddled in the Churchill River, where it enters Hudson Bay. No sooner had we entered the water, and the whales were coming up to our kayaks and diving around us. It was an extraordinary experience.
