Casa Loma

In Toronto a hundred years ago there lived a man who built the only full sized castle in North America - Casa Loma. He was up with the times, and installed 50 of the 200 telephones in Toronto in his castle. He also had two cannons (miniature) in his bedroom, and an shower with nine different jets.

 

 

The bedroom had a balcony out to the large reception area.

From the ramparts you can see fantastic views of Toronto.

The hunting lodge was his house before he started to build the castle.

He moved in well before it was finished - no windows in the upper story. It has never been completely finished, as he lost a lot of money during the depression.
