Richardson Highway

The highway from Valdez to Fairbanks is the Richardson Highway, and it is fantastic. I figure I missed some of the views yesterday because they are in the far distance, and it was raining.

First off, you get fantastic views of Denali.

Then you go through some snow fields and glaciers.

For a while there are no snow capped mountains.

Then you see some of the Wrangnell - St Elias National Park.

Then you get more snow fields and glaciers - even better than the previous ones.

At Valdez, I chose this RV park - the second picture is the view from my front.

And got there just in time for the nightly feeding of the Bald Eagles.
